Running in nature

Runners Venture - all about running

From Runner to Runner

Welcome to the joy of running! Me running in mountains

Hi, I'm Lydia, and I love everything about running (well, almost everything).
I started running 10k+ in 2020 and have since completed 2 full marathons, 3 ultramarathons, and I forgot to count all the half marathons.
I have a son and work as a nurse, so I am very familiar with the struggle of finding the time to train for big events.
In 2023, I became a certified running coach from UESCA, which I will use to become a better runner myself and help others on their running journey.

Running is so much more than just a physical activity; it's a transformative journey that empowers individuals to conquer their limits and embrace a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle. Whether you're a dedicated marathoner, a leisurely jogger, or a complete novice taking your first strides, running has a unique ability to connect us with our inner selves, the world around us, and a community of like-minded individuals.

Road running is all about fast-paced running on smooth and predictable surfaces. It takes you through neighborhoods and scenic routes, making it perfect for speedwork and building endurance.

Trail running, on the other hand, is about exploring what nature has to offer. It leads you through serene forests, majestic mountains, and peaceful parks. The terrain can vary from flat forest trails to challenging paths with rocks, gravel, grass, or mud. It's a great way to improve agility, balance, and mental focus while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors.

Running offers many benefits, including improved fitness, stress relief, personal growth, and the thrill of conquering challenges. So, grab your running shoes and embrace the adventure and self-discovery that awaits you.
